Gayer Anderson was born in Britain in 1881 AD, and worked as a physician in the English army and was one of the officers who served in the English army and the Egyptian army in the Nile Valley. Anderson settled in Egypt, which he has loved from all angles since 1908 AD. Anderson considered Egypt his second home. He mentioned in his memoirs kept at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, “Egypt may be the land I want to my heart, so I didn’t leave it because I spent my happiest days in it since my birth.” And Anderson was interested in antiquities from the ages. He collected various collections, especially Islamic art, as he collected rare collections that are currently displayed in the Museum.
