This furniture and the collection of Officer Gayer Anderson, all of Pharaonic and Islamic artifacts, and the entire collection of antiquities became the property of the Egyptian people after that. The two houses that contained this group were converted into a museum bearing his name. This was done by the Committee for the Preservation of Arab Antiquities, and the two houses were turned into a museum in the name of Gayer Anderson on July 17, 1943 AD. It is located in the Sayeda Zeinab area in the heart of Cairo, Egypt.
