
Upon the death of Gair Anderson in 1945, he had relinquished the house that he had restored and lived in and transferred all the valuable artifacts to him and gave up all its contents to the Egyptian Antiquities Authority, which turned it into a museum in the name of the Gair Anderson Museum. A large collection of furniture, sculptures and antiques that Gayer placed in it, and can be visited with just a quick walk to the Khalifa neighborhood.
